Dune Peninsula: 11 acres; Total waterfront redevelopment: 46 acres
Site Workshop led the first phase of Destination Point Defiance, a redevelopment of the park’s waterfront. Building upon extensive remediation work at the Superfund site, Site Workshop has partnered with the city of Tacoma, Washington, and is leading their waterfront redevelopment in which the first phase includes an expansive 11-acre public park that improves access to the riverfront trail for pedestrians and cyclists alike.
