As part of the Seattle Monorail renovation, ERW Lighting + Controls contributed to enhancing this iconic transit system by providing advanced lighting solutions that improve safety, accessibility, and the overall passenger experience. The upgraded monorail now accommodates up to 3,000 passengers per hour, expanding public transit options while better connecting the community.
Originally built in 1962 for the World’s Fair, the monorail remains a vital transportation link between Downtown Seattle’s Westlake Center and the Seattle Center. This renovation included a lighting upgrade designed to enhance visibility, energy efficiency, and aesthetics, ensuring that the system continues to serve Seattle for years to come.
